At 26 gestational weeks, after an amniocentesis and genetic testing, he was diagnosed with Diastrophic Dysplasia, a rare type of dwarfism.

Now 8 years old, our son Kai is happy, healthy, and enjoying life.

The purpose of this blog is to lend support and encouragement to others in similar situations and to share the tremendous experiences we've had and will continue to have as we raise our little, little boy.

Thanks. I almost felt like I was there. Although I heard other voices in the background and I'm kind of scared that I left you and you might find a new BF. Sadness. Keep posting though. I need to feel like I'm there :D

Cute video! We got Grant's shoes at Walmart. The Brand is called Starter. They have a clear part in the bottom so you can see where their toes are. The size 3 are a little long on grant, but not too bad, he seems to be able to walk in them fine. the size 2 were better in length but Gran complained about how snug they were. Hope that helps!

No doubt about it. Kai is one lucky boy to have you as his parents!
